Status Quo Drummer Jeff Rich Brings ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’ To Schools
They’ve been Rockin’ All Over the World with ex-Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich. The rock legend has been beating a path to schools in Hull and the East Riding last week to give pupils a music masterclass.
Jeff was a big hit with pupils at Molescroft Primary School in Beverley, where hundreds of pupils joined a music session on percussion instruments.
He said: “The kids were absolutely buzzing.
“We had 400 in the hall and I had 200 at a time on percussion instruments.
“They all got up and played. It was fantastic.”
Status Quo’s anthem Rockin’ All Over the World is a favourite at the town primary, so pupils were thrilled when they got the chance to go on the stage with one of the band’s rock legends.
Headteacher Michael Loncaster said: “Most mornings our reception children all sing with their teacher and Rockin’ All Over the World is one of the their favourites.
“It’s a song the children know very well through the school. They have sung their hearts out to it, so when they found out this world-famous ex-Status Quo drummer was coming, it really struck a chord with them.
“We have ten children who have drumming lessons, so it was amazing for them to have a rock hero in school.
