Drum Teacher Confesses That Online Teaching Is BETTER Than Face-2-Face!
So would you prefer to teach drums via the internet on a video conference web enabled teaching platform or on a 1-2-1 basis with your drum student in the same room as you? We have had a drum teacher contact us giving us some great tips, hints, advice and suggestions about teaching drums online.
Drum tutor James Phillips told us, “I have been using zoom video conference with varying degrees of success. As long as you disable the first two options in advanced settings on audio and only use one exclusive WiFi to do the lesson it is working very well for me. I am actually finding that having two drum kits in the lesson is really beneficial and, to be honest, am considering not going back to teaching in person! At least not the majority of the time at least.
That plus the ease of sharing files, connection to the parents of the students and screen sharing etc just makes for far more productive lessons. If the lag were gone there would be absolutely no point in teaching in person in my view other than to say you actually met! 😅”.
So looks like James is very much sold on the idea.
