Drummer Nick Mason Hints At Pink Floyd Reunion
Nick Mason, drummer for the legendary band, has hinted that they could play together again for a good cause, following their gigs for Live 8 nine years ago.
The 69-year-old said that another gig with surviving original members Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters is not currently in the works – but it’s not off the table either.
He said that if the right charity asked, it could be a possibility.
Nick told The Mirror: “Occasionally it’s sort of mentioned. But there is no firm plan.
“I think it’s quite unlikely but if there was another Live 8 we would respond if someone asked.
“If there was a cause that was sufficient then I think if any of us felt we could make a real difference to a particular situation, hopefully we would all do the decent thing.
“And it would have to be a cause that was worth it and beyond it just being a bank account issue.”
Pink Floyd are one of the most successful bands of all time.
Their 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon is one of the biggest-selling rock albums ever, shifting more than 40 million copies and staying in the US charts for a staggering 14 years.
