Drummer Mike Portnoy Completes New Project

Ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy has announced the name of the project he’s completed after he stopped working with guitarist John Sykes.
The Winery Dogs features Riche Kotzen in Sykes’ place alongside bassist Billy Sheehan. Their album, described as “a really cool, unique record,” is due out in May. Meanwhile, ex-Thin Lizzy man Sykes has detailed his own new project – his fifth album will feature drummer Josh Freese, bassists Tony Franklin and Chris Chaney, drummer Curt Bisquera and keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac.
