Drum teachers - do your tax return before its too late

Know how to do your tax return for 2015?

Posted Under: Business

My Drum Lessons would recommend all drum teachers to report your tax reports to the HMRC before the 31st January 2015 or you could face a large fine. You may well be aware that My Drum Lessons offers a fantastic range of support tools for doing your own accounting if you are a drum teacher with us. Along with that you could also attend a Tax Advice Workshop with HW Fisher & Co.

Join Andy Levett and Ajay Jassal from accountants HW Fisher & Co for a presentation on tax issues followed by a Q&A tailor-made for freelance musicians.

The session will cover essential advice on:

– Setting yourself up in business

– Income

– Allowable expenses

– Capital items and capital allowances

– Record keeping

– Investigations and how to avoid them

– VAT

– Employment status issues

– Tax penalties

When: Friday 9 January 2015

Time: 3pm – 5pm

Where: Conference Room, MU HQ, 60-62 Clapham Road, London SW9 0JJ
