Description: As a result of moving to new office and warehouse facilities in Edgware, North London an opportunity has arisen to join The British Band Instrument Company (BBICO). BBICO is a leading exporter of musical instruments and accessories primarily to military bands but also to retailers and distributors across the world. We are currently seeking an Administrator to join our fun and dynamic team initially on a part time basis. The role of the Administrator will assist on the Sales and Export side of the business, assisting in raising the relevant documentation for exports, drawing up quotations and liaising with customers on a daily basis. As a company it is important that we are efficient in executing customer orders from the quotation stage right through to shipping. Necessary product training and training in the use of Sage 50 Accounts will be given. As a small business, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and also comfortable in learning new skills, it is important that you can show initiative when completing tasks. You will be a self-driven, diligent individual with an organized work ethic who can work to deadlines.

Duties will include:

Liaising with customers and suppliers via telephone and email
Raising purchase orders for suppliers, assisting with quotations and processing invoices using Sage 50 accounts software
Managing customer orders
Managing client relationships
Logistics assistance for the import & export of product
Providing additional admin support to other departments when required
Skills required:

Energy, enthusiasm and commitment to great customer service
Good organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in all situations
Office experience essential, sales support administration experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Effective IT literacy, confident in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to stay calm under pressure
An interest and knowledge of musical instruments
Previous import/export experience preferred but not essential
Comfortable learning new skills
Adaptable and able to show initiative when completing tasks.
Interested in the geography of our client locations of Middle East/ Africa/ India
Willingness to be trained in the specialist nature of the role

Hours 9:00AM – 2.00PM 4 days a week (with flexibility to extend hours during busier periods)
Employment commence date – ASAP
Part Time- circa 15-18 hours/ week
