Drum company Headstock Distribution report that, due to the expansion of its team, a new role as Product Manager for its Percussion Division (Tama & Zildjian products in Great Britain and Ireland) has become available. The new position is to be based in the Midlands and offers a competitive salary based on experience. Working from Headstock’s headquarters in the West Midlands, the successful candidate will take product management responsibility for these two legendary percussion brands. As such the successful applicant will have an extensive knowledge of drumming and percussion equipment and will possess a proactive attitude with the confidence, determination and energy to get results. The post will be accountable for product lifecycle performance, new product launches, promotions, marketing calendar, media communications and market research. In addition the role will take on a pivotal role in procurement, supplier relations, media relations and pricing strategy.

The successful candidate will have the following:

A passion for drumming along with expertise of percussion products and their marketplace.
Product Management/Buying/Merchandising/Product Marketing/Product Retail background.
Commercial aptitude, a high level of numeracy and analytical ability.
The ability to work within a team, to manage team members, plan events and meet deadlines.
A full driving license and be prepared to travel to meetings and special events including occasional international travel.
