Shawn Drover Now Gives Drum Lessons

Ex-Megadeth Drummer Has Become A Teacher And Gives Drum Lessons

Friday, December 5th, 2014

It goes to show teaching drums is more profitable than playing in a band. Ex Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover made four autographed MEGADETH laminates (signed by Shawn only) and one Megadeth winter hat available for purchase via his official Facebook page. (Note: The offer has since been removed from the social media site, presumably after Shawn received enough interest from potential buyers.)

Shawn, who left Megadeth last month, is also offering online drum lessons via Skype. Only hours after Drover announced his exit from Megadeth on November 25 to “to pursue [his] own musical interests,” guitarist Chris Broderick revealed he also quit the legendary metal band, saying that he was leaving the group “due to artistic and musical differences.”

Shawn joined Megadeth in 2004 as the replacement for Nick Menza, who had only just rejoined the group. Drover performed on four Megadeth studio records: 2007’s “United Abominations”, 2009’s “Endgame”, 2011’s “TH1RT3EN” and last year’s “Super Collider”.

Looks like most of us have envisaged a drum sillpage. My little girl likes puffed corn as a snack but has to ask as it’s not within reach, though she has started to use a stool to get some height lately.
