Aerosmith Cancel Tour Dates after Drummer Suffers Heart Problems
Aerosmith have had to cancel their tour dates after drummer Joey Kramer has suffered heart-related complications.
The band has cancelled the dates as the 64-year-old is reported to be undergoing heart surgery.
The legendary pop rock group had to cancel their Concord, California, show on Wednesday night with the venue’s Facebook page explaining the sudden cancellation is ‘due to illness’.
Members of the Aerosmith tour crew told TMZ that Kramer will undergo heart surgery and has had heart-related complications in the past.
The Concord venue Pavilion’s Facebook page stated on Wednesday: ‘Due to illness, Aerosmith has been forced to cancel tonight’s performance at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA.
‘The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.’
Live Nation’s website also made an announcement: ‘This event has been cancelled. Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be cancelled & refunded.’
Meanwhile, Aerosmith announced on their website: ‘The band apologizes for the inconvenience to its fans.’
The next date scheduled on the tour is on Saturday in Quincy, Washington.
