Phil Rudd to Release Debut Solo Album ‘Head Job’

Thursday, July 17th, 2014

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd will be releasing his debut solo album titled ‘Head Job’ on 29th August.

As noted by Ultimate Classic Rock, Rudd spoke with Australia’s Triple J radio to make his own play on his name, promising “plenty of Phil… but no filler.” Though normally out of the spotlight, Rudd also hoped “everyone thinks this is a great album from start to finish because that’s the idea.”

This is in addition to the recently completed new AC/DC affair, which will be without Malcolm Young, who has been seriously ill and unable to play music.

But before that album is out, Rudd’s Head Job will have to suffice, featuring Alan Badger on vocals and Jeffrey Martin on guitar on songs written by all three.
