Porter & Davies bolsters UK retail distribution
Drum monitoring specialist Porter & Davies has announced the expansion of its UK retail distribution, with the addition of seven new partners across the country.
Joining Cato Music, John Henry’s and Matt Snowball Music, the firm has added Sound Attak (Colchester), Rock & Roll Music (Swindon), RhythmBase (Glasgow), The Drum Shop (Gateshead), Drumshack (south London) and London Drum Company (Croydon) to its list of partners.
Porter & Davies’s BC2 bass drum monitoring tool works by sending vibrations through the drummer’s stool, allowing players to feel the beat without the external volume, while the BC Gigster offers a reduced service at a more affordable price point.
Paul Barretta, managing director of Porter & Davies, commented: “Drummers really get the BC2 and the BC Gigster when they try it, and many say once they have used it they cannot imagine going back to drumming without it. This is why we are so pleased to announce the increase in key partners throughout the UK, because we know once drummers give Stealth Monitoring a trial, they will wonder how they have been playing without it all their lives.”
Meanwhile, drummer Veronica Bellino (Jeff Beck,DMC), commented: “I didn’t know what I was missing until I started using my BC Gigster. I never play a show without it.”
A number of professional drummers have recently incorporated the firm’s bass drum monitoring systems into their set-up, including Kenny Aronoff and Billy Cobham, while Daniel Adair (Nickelback), Karl Brazil (Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Feeder) Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) and Steve White (Paul Weller, The Who, Oasis) have also adopted the BC2 and BC Gigster.
