Fair Lawn Teens Reunite With Ringo Starr
The Fair Lawn teenagers captured in a photo taken by Ringo Starr in 1964 reunited with the Beatles drummer last weekend.
Starr took the photo from his limousine, and almost 50 years later, made it the centerpiece of his new book “Photograph.”
NBC’s “Today” show paid to take Charlie Schwartz, Bob Toth, Arlene Norbe, Gary Van Deursen and Suzanne Rayot to Las Vegas to meet Starr. They were treated to performances by Starr and his All-Starr Band and “The Beatles’ LOVE,” performed by Cirque du Soleil.
The Fair Lawn natives, sans Matthew Blender, who died in 2011, reunited in a “Today” appearance in October for the first time since the day they cut school to see the Beatles.
