The Icarus Club at Foote’s

Friday, September 27th, 2013

41 Store St, Bloomsbury, London WC1E 7DB, starts Wednesday 2nd October 12-2pm.

Foote’s is pleased to announce lunchtime ‘Acoustic Open Mic’ sessions with The Icarus Club starting 2nd October (and the 1st Wednesday of every month thereafter).

Started in 2007, The Icarus Club runs weekly at venues across South London providing a forum for high quality original songwriters to perform their work in a conducive, acoustic setting.

Rob Wilson of Foote’s, London’s famous music store, comments: “We’re really looking forward to this collaboration – helping to promote new artists in the heart of the West End.”

Icarus Club organiser Phil Dearing says the club has attracted musicians from all over the country and from as far afield as Australia and the US.

“It’s an opportunity to test drive new material; some artists will make a date with us as part of a tour or as a warm up for one. All types of acts are welcome as long as they can play acoustically. There is only one rule, no cover versions!”

Come and watch or come and play, everyone is welcome. If you’re interested in performing please email artists@icarusclub.co.uk.

For the first session on Wednesday 2nd October we”d like to introduce you to:

Bruise

Nick Edward Harris

Pepper and Shepherd

Dos Rosas

2013 dates are 2nd October, 6th November & 4th December

See you there!
