Swinghouse Studio’s Sunset Strip Music Festival 2013 with Audix Mics.

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013

For the fifth year, Phil Jaurigui and the Swinghouse crew pulled off the impossible: Staging a music festival in the middle of the busiest street in Southern California! The Sunset Strip Music Festival site features two main stages (East and West) and three side venues (the famous Whisky a Go Go and Roxy clubs, and the open-air Viper Room Stage).

Swinghouse strategically placed about 60 Audix mics throughout the festival. The OM5 was their first choice for vocals with its great sound and feedback resistance. The i5, D2, D4, and D6 mics were liberally used for drum kits, percussion, and back-line amps, along with a selection of MicroDs for specialized applications.
