Drummer Hit By Van Recovering In ICU
Matthew Marshall, the drummer from the British glam rock band Sly Roosevelt, suffered a severe head injury last weekend on Eighth Street in Huntington where he was struck by a van. Marshall has been taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where according to friends, he is in the I.C.U. placed in an induced coma with brain swelling.
According to reports received from promoter Don Duncan and Facebook, he has been taken off the ventilator. A friend posted on Facebook that visitation is still restricted on Wednesday, Sept. 11. He has spoken a few words, the friend wrote.
The friend asked for “good vibes” sent his way.
“Please send good vibes to my friend Matthew Marshall– he is one of the sweetest, most respectful, kind and fun people that I know– and he, and his close friends and family, need good vibes and support right now,” the posting said.
