I remember being a kid at a pub meant siinttg under the pool table (on a blanket if mum remembered) with a packet of chips and a fire engine and maybe a toy or two.Now its video games, climbing equipment and great fun. Our kids often ask if we can go to the pub for lunch and have different pubs they want to go to depending on what they want to do that day.
